Wyoming man arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide

A Wyoming man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicular homicide and driving under the influence in connection to a fatal car crash.

The Jackson Hole News and Guide reports 53-year-old Jackson Hole resident Robert Arndt was pronounced dead Friday night after the Porsche he was driving was struck head-on by the arrested man’s pickup truck. Arndt’s wife, Melanie Harrice, was also in the vehicle and was taken to a nearby hospital. She was in stable condition on Sunday.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Lt. Matt Brackin says the man was driving with no headlights on, and was driving on the wrong side of the road before striking Arndt’s vehicle.

The man was arrested by the Teton County Sheriff’s Office after failing a field sobriety test at the scene. He was uninjured.
