Pocatello city attorney to retire

Pocatello City Attorney Dean Tranmer has announced his retirement. Tranmer has worked for the city for 26 years. “I’ll miss the variety of legal work I’ve been able to be a part of with the City of Pocatello.” Tranmer said. “Specifically, I’ll miss my work on municipal water rights and economic development. I’ll also miss the people I’ve been fortunate to work with at the City and serving the citizens of Pocatello.” Mayor Brian Blad said, “”He has served the City diligently for 26 years and been a great asset to us. He will be deeply missed.” A reception is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday at the Pocatello City Council Chambers for friends, family, and former co-workers. Tranmer said he intended to continue practicing law and exploring other options in the legal field.
