Pocatello robbery suspects arrested

Pocatello Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the armed robbery of Willie’s Chevron at 506 S. 5th early Wednesday morning.

Police detectives observed 23-year-old Nathan Wright was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Colten Hernandez at 9:45 a.m. Thursday. With the assistance of patrol officers, they attempted to stop the vehicle in the 100 block of Warren Street.

The two fled from police and after a short pursuit, they ran from the vehicle in an alley west of Willard and Pine.

Wright was quickly apprehended. Hernandez was found hiding in a yard on Warren Street, where he was challenged by a police K-9. Hernandez then surrendered without incident.

Wright was arrested on four outstanding warrants and the robbery charge.

Hernandez was arrested for felony eluding and resisting arrest.

Additional charges are pending for both men.

Both are being held at the Bannock County Jail.
