Boy hit, killed by car while riding small bike
Police say a 3-year-old boy is dead after he was hit by a car while riding his bike.
Authorities say it happened in a Spanish Fork neighborhood Wednesday afternoon as a woman was backing out of a driveway.
Spanish Fork police Lt. Matt Johnson says the driver couldn’t see the child because he was on a low-profile bike.
The boy was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries.
Authorities say the woman driving the car was very distraught and also taken to a hospital.
The child’s name was not immediately released.
