Detailed Forecast For July 20th

Most of the region should be dry till next week, with the exception of some today. Monsoonal moisture will give rise to T-Storms across the Eastern/Caribou Highlands and western Wyoming this afternoon. It is possible that some of these make it into the Snake Plain. However, given the strong SW winds aloft, and the trigger mechanism for T-Storms being the high terrain to our east, it is likely that the T-Storms stay east of I-15. A red flag warning is in effect for much of the region today. Strong winds and low relative humidity for this afternoon make for precarious fire weather conditions. Today: Mostly sunny with highs near 90, with T-Storms east of I-15. Strong winds 20 mph sustained and gusting into the 30s. Tonight: Lows near 50 with winds settling down into the nighttime. Tomorrow: Sunny with highs in the upper 80s and breezy. Saturday: Sunny with highs in the upper 80s.
