Idaho Falls man arrested following crash in IF Wednesday morning

UPDATE 3:30 p.m. – The Idaho Falls Police Department arrested a 20-year-old Idaho Falls man for two Bonneville County warrants following a multiple vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

Nicholas Dursteler was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on warrants unrelated to the crash.

Dursteler’s passenger, a 21-year-old Blackfoot woman, was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center to be treated.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. ORIGINAL: Idaho Falls Police are asking drivers to avoid 9th Street between St. Clair and Terry Street. According to initial reports, a man driving a 4-door Grand Prix crashed into a parked Nissan Maxima and Ford F150 and several trees, scattering debris all along the street. A person was transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. It is expected to take several hours to clean up the debris.
