Crews to fog seal Hiline Road in Pocatello July 27

Pocatello Street Operations Department crews will be fog sealing a portion of Hiline Road Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Crews will be applying the seal to the portion of the road from Pearl Street to Flandro Drive.

Fog sealing involves spraying an asphalt emulsion onto an existing street surface, and the emulsion protects the pavement from weathering by sealing small cracks that have developed and prevents water from making its way into the roadway.

Officials said you should expect delays or use alternate routes when possible.

Also, while work is underway, there will be no parking allowed on the street, and vehicles parked on the street will be towed to the nearest side street.
