Urgent care centers WILL be open during eclipse

There was confusion from Wednesday night’s Bonneville County community eclipse meeting regarding access to urgent care.

At the meeting, it was discussed if urgent care centers were going to stay open during the day of the eclipse on Aug. 21.

Urgent care centers will stay open. These are places like Community Care, emergency rooms, and hospitals.

“We will be open, not only the day of the eclipse, but also the Sunday before. We’ve extended hours. We we have Community Care throughout the Valley. We’ve added additional staff and supplies. There are many big facilities in our area that have good access points and things like that. I mean we all want just the community to feel secure and safe,” said Ned Hillyard, the chief compliance officer at Mountain View Hospital.

Those extended hours can be found on Mountain View Hospital’s Facebook page.
