Weather update for July 29th

There is a chance of isolated thunderstorms in the Targhee National Forest area and the Central Mountains on Saturday. On Sunday, afternoon isolated thunderstorms are possible, especially along mountain ridges. Winds on Saturday will remain light. However, outflow winds from developing thunderstorms can cause wind activity to pick up.

Expect a ridge of high pressure to build back over the region on Sunday and Monday-which will bring slightly warmer temperatures and drier conditions. Moisture levels will continue to decrease this week. Lower elevation areas can expect to see highs in or near the 90’s Wednesday through Saturday.

Sunday: Highs in the upper 80’s. Chance of thunder storms

Monday: Highs in the upper 80’s. Chance of thunder storms

Tuesday: Highs in the upper 80’s and low 90’s. Mostly Sunny.
