Pocatello police investigating shooting at apartments on Yellowstone

Pocatello police are investigating a shooting at the Yellowstone Townhouse apartments on Yellowstone Avenue.

The shooting happened around 10 p.m. Thursday night.

According to police, one man was shot. Police say he was taken to Portneuf Medical Center by ambulance. His current condition is unknown. Police have also not yet released his name.

Police said they did find a handgun on scene. They said there is no threat to the public.

Around 11 p.m. detectives were arriving on scene to help with the investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
