Warrant arrest leads to additional charges for Pocatello man

A Pocatello man was arrested Thursday after trying to run away from police. According to police reports, Joseph Hudson, 33, was found walking in the middle of the road at 13th and Wyeth at about 1:13 p.m. Thursday. Officers recognized Hudson, who had active warrants for his arrest. When officers contacted Hudson, he gave them a false name. When he was questioned about the false name, Hudson tried to run away. He was quickly caught by officers in the 1400 block of East Fremont. Hudson was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, a small amount of methamphetamine, and a small amount of heroin. He was arrested on two outstanding warrants plus possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, providing false identity information, and resisting and obstructing an officer.
