Brush fire slows I-15 traffic near McCammon

Fire crews worked to contain a brush fire along Interstate 15 near McCammon Monday evening.

The fire broke out around 7 p.m. in the median of the interstate, just north of the US Highway 30 exit.

Southbound traffic was slowed and backed up into Inkom as Idaho Sate Police and local fire crews worked to contain the fire.

There was no word on a cause or an exact containment time.

According to Local News 8 viewers, smoke could be seen for miles throughout Marsh Valley.
