Suspect jailed after shooting at Freedom man
One suspect is in custody after reports he fired a gunshot near a home in Freedom, Idaho. The Caribou County Sheriff’s Office said it was notified at 6:41 p.m. Friday. The victim said a person fired a handgun at him while was mowing his lawn. The victim wasn’t hit, but the lawn mower was. Deputies located the suspect and attempted to stop him. The suspect fled on an ATV, nearly striking a uniformed deputy who was on foot. The person was taken into custody after crashing the ATV. Investigation into the incident is continuing.
