The dry northwest flow continues to bring in the smoke from W. Montana wildfires. High pressure remains in place resulting in dry weather with sinking motion under the high, acting as a lid to keep the smoke and haze in place. Unstable weather with a slight chance at thunderstorms this Friday and Saturday will likely improve air quality for the weekend. Temps look to lower into the lower to mid 80’s for highs this weekend.

Tonight: Widespread smoke with a low around 50°. North wind 10 mph.

Thursday: Widespread smoke and sunny, with highs in the low 90’s.

Friday: Partly cloudy in the afternoon with highs in the upper 80’s. A slight chance of thunderstorms, chance of precip 20%.

Saturday: Highs into the mid 80’s and a risk for afternoon thunderstorms. Breezy, SW winds 10-20 mph.
