Man arrested after short chase
Pocatello Police arrested Kristopher Kirk Gardner, 32, in Scardino Park Wednesday evening.
Police said officers attempted to stop a red 2008 Subaru Forester for failing to obey a stop sign at about 5:33 p.m.
The driver, later identified as Gardner, drove away from officers at a high rate of speed. Police elected not to pursue the car at that time.
The vehicle was reported in the area of Encino a short time later. Officers found Gardner in Scardino Park.
Gardner attempted to run away on foot but was quickly apprehended without further incident.
