Two flown to EIRMC in two separate crashes

Two crashes Tuesday evening ended with people being airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Police in Rigby are investigating a two-car crash that sent one person to the hospital.

The crash happened just after 6:30 p.m. on Farnsworth Way near 4000 E.

Police say the driver of a pickup crashed into the side of a white car.

The female driver of the car was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in serious condition.

The driver of the pickup was taken by private vehicle to be checked out.

The second crash happened around 5:45 p.m. near Blackfoot.

Idaho State Police says Mirolim Khasanova of Uzbekistan, was driving south in a Dodge Grand Caravan. He went off the left shoulder, came back onto the road and overturned.

Sarvar Bakirov also of Uzbekistan was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the van, they were taken by air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Khasanov and four other passengers all from Uzbekistan were wearing seatbelts.

This crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
