Cabela’s awards local scout troop $2,000

Cabela’s recently awarded local Boy Scout Troop 0388 with nearly $2,000 of gear and equipment through its Outdoor Fund and will be presenting the troop with their gear at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 30 at the Ammon Cabela’s located at 3693 S 25th.

“We are extremely grateful to Cabela’s and the generosity they have shown us through this Outdoor Fund Program Grant,” said Scoutmaster Zac Bodily. “A properly executed outdoor program is fundamental to achieving the aims of scouting for these young men. The equipment awarded to us through this grant will allow our youth to have many positive experiences in the outdoors that will help them to grow and improve together. Having the ability to use high-quality gear expands the opportunities our youth will have and allows their activities to be appropriately conducted in a safe manner. We appreciate the commitment Cabela’s has shown to the youth of our community throughout this process, and look forward to a continued partnership with them.”

Cabela’s Outdoor Fund Scout Gear Program supports Scout activities and educational programs tied to hunting, fishing, camping and target shooting with gear from Cabela’s.

Over $100,000 has been allocated to Scouts in 2017 through the program.
