Idaho Falls home prices rise above national pace

New data shows Idaho Falls home prices rose by 8.6 percent between August of 2016 and August of 2017. According to CoreLogic home prices grew by 8.7 percent statewide.

National home prices increased by 6.9 percent during the same period, according to the company.

On a month-over-month basis, Idaho Falls home prices increased by .2 percent between July and August 2017.

CoreLogic projects home prices will continue to increase from August to September. Chief Economist Frank Nothaft said, “While growth in home sales is stalled due to a lack of inventory during the last few months, the tight inventory has actually helped stabilize price growth.”
