Gas prices drop for the week

Idaho’s average retail gasoline prices fell 2.8 cents per gallon in the past week, according to the consumer group GasBuddy. Idaho’s average price of $2.61 compared to a national average $2.45.

Prices on Sunday were 17 cents per gallon higher than the same day a year ago and 9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average price decreased 8.9 cents per gallon during the last month and stands at 25 cents per gallon higher than this day a year ago.

Regional prices ranged from an average $2.51 per gallon in Idaho Falls to $2.61 in Rexburg and Blackfoot, and $2.64 in Pocatello and Driggs.
