Pocatello candidate drops out of Mayor’s race

One candidate for Pocatello Mayor has dropped out of the race.

Paul Shepard submitted a withdrawal of his declaration of candidacy Thursday afternoon. By submitting the form, Shepard officially withdrew from the election process.

His name will still appear on the ballot. The official deadline to withdraw passed on September 25.

His decision leaves 6 active candidates for Mayor. They are Tammy Bartlett, Brian Blad, Chad Horst, Jamie Hudson, Sam Laoboonmi, and S Idaho Lorax Carta.

Early voting begins Tuesday, October 10. The official election day is November 7.
