Blue algae warning lifted

Eastern Idaho Public Health and the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality have lifted a health advisory for Henry’s Lake and Island Park Reservoir.

After two weeks of sampling at common access areas IDEQ confirmed that blue-green algae levels have fallen below dangerous levels.

The agencies are still advising people to avoid any isolated areas of algae. The algae may look like floating white-gray-blue paint.

If you see any, contact IDEQ in Idaho Falls at (208) 528-2650 to report it.
