High-speed pursuit and officer-involved shooting in Pocatello

Power County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted the Idaho State Police with a high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle east on I-86 Monday evening.

Officials report the pursuit ended in Pocatello when the juvenile driver was involved in a traffic accident.

Another juvenile was a passenger in the stolen vehicle, the sheriff’s office reports. During the pursuit, officials report there was an officer-involved shooting which is going to be investigated by the East Idaho Critical Incident Team.

The sheriff’s office reports there were no serious injuries resulting from the incident.
