Bookkeeper sentenced to 30 years in prison for almost 10 years of embezzlement

A 65-year-old woman was sentenced to 30 years with 6 years fixed Wednesday morning for embezzling $2.3 million from Dura-Bilt Transmissions for almost 10 years.

Charlotte Pottorff worked as the company’s bookkeeper for almost 20 years and used the money for her gambling addiction.

Pottorff was charged with two counts of grand theft embezzlement, two counts of perjury and one count of tax evasion.
