Coin toss decides Roberts Council seat

City officials in Roberts tossed a coin Wednesday morning to determine who will fill a city council seat.

On election day, November 7, voters gave Shauna Lounsbury 29 votes, deciding the first of two city council seats.

But Benjamin Poston and Pat O’Malley-George tied with 20 votes each in their effort to take the second seat.

In a ceremony this morning, Pat O’Malley-George called heads, but the coin came up tails.

Ben Poston won the council seat.
