Power outage reported near Rexburg

UPDATE: 3:45 P.M.

An estimated 413 customers of Rocky Mountain Power near the Thornton substation were without power beginning at around 2:49 p.m. Monday.

A downed power line was discovered to be the cause of the outage and repairs are underway.

Power was restored to all but around 52 customers by 3:45 p.m.

Rocky Mountain Power estimated the downed line should be repaired by around 5 p.m.

ORIGINAL STORY:

An estimated 413 customers of Rocky Mountain Power near Thornton were without power Monday afternoon. The utility reports a circuit was opened at the Thornton substation and a troubleshooter is checking the lines.

The outage began at 2:49 p.m. and Rocky Mountain Power estimates electricity should be restored by 6 p.m.
