Downtown Idaho Falls ready for the holiday season with events and decorations
Downtown Idaho Falls is getting in the holiday spirit with many decorations and events. Just walk downtown and you’ll see Christmas trees in the Civitan Plaza as well as the street lamps and signs decorated with garland and bows.
This Saturday, kid’s can go look for Santa’s puppy, Tracker. They’ll start in Civitan Plaza to get a map, then go to over 25 different downtown stores to find all of the puppies. After finding the Trackers, kids can go to Weebee Toys to find Santa and get a prize.
This is just one of many events downtown to get people in the holiday spirit.
“The most festive part of Idaho Falls is downtown,” Catherine Smith of Downtown Development, said. “Whether you are enjoying the Greenbelt, the Festival of Lights or downtown, all of the charm is down here.”
Other events include horse drawn trolley rides around downtown on Saturdays from 1-3 pm. This Sunday, December 3rd, businesses will be hosting a holiday open house where you can get discounts at many of the stores downtown.
