Remains identified as woman who went missing in 2015

Authorities confirm partial remains recovered in Jerome County belong to a woman who went missing in 2015.

The Times-News reports Jerome County Sheriff Doug McFall says the Ada County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the bones discovered at a construction site a couple of weeks ago are of Tiffani Streling.

Streling went missing on May 16, 2015.

McFall says the remains were found “in a rural area,” but the sheriff’s office is not revealing the exact location to protect the site in case further investigation is required.

Cassia County Undersheriff George Warrell, whose office is continuing to investigate the case “as a possible homicide,” says finding the remains confirms there was a death and it is not a missing person case.

The remains were identified through dental records.
