Middle School Student hit in crosswalk, expected to be okay

One middle school student is in the hospital Wednesday morning after she was hit by a car in a crosswalk.

Shelley police responded to the intersection of Locust St. and Highway 91 at around 7:45 a.m., where the student was hit.

Police said she is expected to be okay, but transported her to the hospital as standard protocol.

The driver was cited for inattentive driving.
