Community Family Clinic opens in Idaho Falls

The Community Council of Idaho formally dedicated its new Community Family Clinic with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Idaho Falls Thursday.

The clinic is located at 2100 Alan Street.

It is the only income-based health clinic in the city. It provides affordable primary health care to all individuals regardless of their ability to pay, including those who are uninsured or with Medicaid or Medicare. Physicians began to see patients there on November 20.

The Community Council used a $300,000 grant from the Murdock Foundation to build the facility. Half of the grant was contingent on a 1 to 1 match in donations from other donors.
