Dense Fog Advisory for Tuesday night – Wednesday Morning

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Dense Fog

Advisory, which is in effect until 11 AM MST Wednesday.

* VISIBILITY…Under 1 mile with many locations at or below one

quarter mile at times.

* IMPACTS…Low visibility will create hazardous driving

conditions. With temperatures below freezing, ice may form on

various surfaces including roads. Areas most impacted include

along Interstates 15 and 86 especially from near Blackfoot

through Coldwater Junction, Interstate 15 from Malad to the Utah

Border, portions of Interstate 84 from the split to the Utah

border, Roy, Holbrook and Oakley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be

reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use

your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

various surfaces including roads. Areas most impacted include

Burley, Rupert, Kinsey Butte, Interstates 84 and 86, U-S 93,

as well as Idaho Highways 24 and 75.
