Local singing group raises almost $28,000 for toddler

A local family with a son who has lots of medical issues has reason to smile.

Local singing group S-O-S did a fundraising concert a few weeks ago and Tuesday night revealed the amount they raised to the family –$27,940.

18 month old Everett Mouser has already had 95 doctor visits for issues ranging from a cleft lip, to facial paralysis, to heart problems. With many more medical bills to come, Burke and Kylee Mouser are grateful.

“We have a lot to worry about with him, but not having to worry about financial things. It’s a huge weight off,” Kylee said.

“We have a long road ahead, so this is kind of helping us, get our feet on the ground, so we can take that road,” Burke said.

S-O-S founder Janie Christensen told me they have done many benefit concerts over the years, and this is the largest amount of money they have ever raised.
