Free skiing and snowboarding lessons atPomerelleSaturday

Have you ever wanted to learn to ski or snowboard but couldn’t afford lessons? Well, that’s no longer an excuse.

On Saturday, December 16, Pomerelle Mountain Resort is holding its “Free Learn to Ski or Ride” event.

Each season Pomerelle teaches thousands of skiers and snowboarders and is known for some of Idaho’s best learning terrain.

To receive the free lessons, you must be a “never ever,” meaning you have never tried skiing or snowboarding but want to try it, and you must be 7-years-old or older.

The resort requires you pre-register for this program by emailing your name, gender, age, height, shoe size, weight, whether you will try skiing or snowboarding and a way the resort can get in touch with you to info@pomerelle.com.

The free training includes:

Ski or snowboard equipment package 1.5 hour group lesson Complimentary ticket to the Magic Carpet (does not include access to chairlifts)

The resort asks you bring a valid ID and dress appropriately for cold, mountain conditions.

Check in will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday upstairs in the lodge at Pomerelle, and lessons begin promptly at 10:30 a.m.

*Note: Pomerelle has been making snow in the Magic Carpet area of the resort. The rest of the mountain is not open yet because officials are waiting for more, natural snow. The Magic Carpet learning area will be open only for those who are part of the group lesson.
