Ground broken for Jackson housing project

Contractors joined the Town of Jackson Monday to break ground for a new housing complex.

The Hidden Hollow development on Mercill Avenue will meet a variety of needs in the community.

The multi-family building will have 55 units. Of the 55, 18 will be classified as “affordable housing,” 18 will be “workforce” housing units and the remaining 19 will be available on the open market.

13 of the units will be one-bedroom apartments of 642 square feet each. There will be 30 two-bedroom units of 979 square feet each and 12 three-bedroom units at 1,214 square feet each.
