Woman arrested for trafficking 1.2 pounds of meth

Idaho State Police stopped a 31-year-old California woman on Interstate 15 near Idaho Falls for a traffic violation Thursday at 2:42 p.m.

ISP reports Brittany Lonje Jones showed signs of drug impairment and was administered field sobriety tests.

During the traffic stop, an Idaho State Police drug-K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics.

Approximately 1.2 pounds of Methamphetamine valued between $8,000 to $10,000 was located inside the vehicle.

Officials report Jones was subsequently arrested for Trafficking Methamphetamine and for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.

She was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
