After several remodels, Reed’s Dairy has built a new Ice Cream and Dairy Store at their farm in Idaho Falls.
The store is located at 2660 West Broadway and now seats 40 people instead of 12.
The new store offers 24 flavors of ice cream as well as 8 flavors of Italian Ice and their own custard for great tasting Gelati. Reed’s have added a soft serve machine to make available their own old-fashioned soft serve mix.
Dessert isn’t the only thing on the menu at Reed’s Dairy, though. In addition to ice cream and milkshakes, the store serves its signature tomato-basil soup and grilled cheese and ham-and-cheese sandwiches.
The store also offers a variety of dairy products for takeout, including butter, yogurt, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, squeaky cheese curds, chocolate milk and a wide array of white milk like skim, 1 percent, 2 percent, whole and raw. You can take its ice cream home with you, too, in pints, half-gallons, and 2-1/2 gallon tubs. During the holiday season, the dairy offers eggnog and chocolate nog, which is half chocolate milk and half eggnog.
To celebrate the opening, Reed’s will have specials this week on a variety of their products. Thursday will be free soft serve day.
A ribbon cutting for the new store is December 20 at 1:00 p.m. with ice cream and grilled cheese sandwiches to follow.
