Windy, Cold and Snow for Wednesday

Stormy weather approaching, with a cold low pressure disturbance into Southeastern Idaho tonight and moving south into Utah by Thursday morning.

Snow showers with the valleys getting a chance for 1-3 inches. The mountains 3-6 inches below 8000 ft, with higher amounts above that level.

Winds will be breezy through Thursday as well thanks to the passing cold front. A weak snow event for Friday before frigid conditions set up for Christmas weekend.

Tonight: Increasing clouds with lows in the 20’s. Slight chance of snow

Wednesday. Snow and windy. Highs around 30 degrees. South southwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Thursday. Cold. Wind chill will be a factor with breezy north winds, especially in the morning. Partly Cloudy.

Friday: A 30% chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 20°. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
