Tennessee woman arrested in Walmart burglary

Marisha N. Snover, 30, of Linden, Tennessee was arrested at approximately 4:20 p.m. Saturday for burglary.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the Ammon Walmart for report of a theft. Store staff had detained the woman as she was attempting to leave the store with items she had not paid for.

Walmart staff said they saw Snover with several other adults inside the store. They said she put items in Walmart bags and then into a shopping cart. One of the woman’s associates made a separate purchase and attempted to distract the greeter at the door. Snover proceeded to leave with the unpaid merchandise.

According to a deputy, Snover admitted bringing Walmart bags into the store concealed in a backpack until merchandise was placed inside. Approximately $235 in merchandise was recovered and Snover was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

Deputies are still investigating the case to determine if other thefts involving Snover and the other people traveling with her have been reported.
