Police investigate Idaho Falls ATM theft

Idaho Falls Police are investigating the theft of an ATM machine from the Sunnyside Travel Center at 3365 Outlet Boulevard at around 2:45 a.m. Thursday.

According to police, the suspects used a truck to pull the ATM from the store.
One suspect wrapped a chain around the ATM while the other drove the truck forward to yank the ATM from the store.

Police said surveillance photos showed a flatbed Ford truck with what appeared to be Minnesota license plates was used in the theft. The plates were reportedly stolen from another vehicle.

Police are looking for two male suspects. Both wore hooded sweatshirts and ski masks. One of the sweatshirts had a “Kirra” logo on the back.

Officers think they may have been involved with a fuel siphoning theft at another business at 714 W. Sunnyside on December 26.

Anyone with information about either incident is encouraged to contact police at 208 529-1200 or Crimestoppers at 208- 522-1983.
