Teton Pass scheduled to close for avalanche control

People planning on traveling through Teton pass will need to plan their trip accordingly.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation is scheduling to close Wyoming Highway 22 at 3 a.m. on January 2 for avalanche control.

Reduced visibility, winter driving conditions, and increased avalanche hazard may force an earlier closure.

No overnight parking at the summit of Teton Pass will be strictly enforced.

Highway travelers and backcountry users are advised to plan accordingly.
