PM Weather Update: Rain/Snow Mix Tonight

The origin of this storm is from the west to southwest, and thus is a fairly warm storm for early January. Thus, similar to the storm over the weekend, we’ll likely see rain for areas such as in the Magic Valley and southern Snake River Plain. We could see snow in the upper Snake River Plain tonight, but likely rain for tomorrow as more warm air moves in.

Tonight: A storm moves in bringing rain/snow to the region and breezy conditions between 10-20 mph. Lows in the upper 20’s to low 30’s.

Tomorrow: Highs near 40 with rain for the valleys and snow for the higher elevations above 7000ft.

Wednesday: A cold front moves through early in the morning, and snow is possible in the morning hours. Clearing for the afternoon, with highs near 30 degrees.
