Three men arrested for grand theft at Grand Teton Mall
Two men with felony warrants stole merchandise from the Buckle, JC Penney and Macy’s in the Grand Teton Mall and tried to flee in a car driven by a third man around 1:05 p.m. Tuesday.
Employees from the Buckle, a retail clothing store inside the mall, witnessed two males shoplifting, followed the men to the parking lot and confronted them.
One of the thieves, 18-year-old Luis Hermosillo, shoved one of the retail store employees, and both men attempted to flee by getting in a car driven by a third man, officials report.
Idaho Falls Police stopped and arrested Hermosillo, 18-year-old Ramon Ceballos-Galindo and 21-year-old Marquel Alexander.
Officers recovered the stolen merchandise from the Buckle, and when they searched the vehicle, police also found stolen property from JC Penney and Macy’s as well as a.22 caliber handgun, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.
Ceballos-Galindo had an active Felony warrant for a Probation Violation and was arrested on charges of Probation Violation (20-222) and Felony Grand Theft (18-2403). Ceballos-Galindo was also arrested two months ago (November 9, 2017) by the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office on charges of another Felony Probation Violation.
Hermosillo had an active Felony warrant for a Probation Violation and was arrested on charges of Felony Probation Violation (20-222), Felony Grand Theft (18-2403), Possession of a Controlled Substance (37-2732(a)(1)(A)) and Simple battery (18-901).
Alexander was arrested on charges of Drug Paraphernalia – Use or Possession With Intent to Use (37-2734A(1)), Possession of a Controlled Substance (37-2732(c)(3)) and Theft by Receiving, Possessing or Disposing of Stolen Property (18-2403(4)).
Ceballos-Galindo and Hermosillo are being held without bond.
