Rexburg man cited in road rage incident

A 23-year-old Rexburg man was cited when he allegedly pointed a weapon at another man in an apparent case of road rage.

Rexburg Police said Garrett Blake Johnson pulled up behind a 55-year-old driver at a stop sign at First North and Second East. When the driver didn’t leave the intersection fast enough, Johnson honked his horn.

The two drivers continued a stop and go route into the Albertson’s grocery store parking lot.

That is where Johnson allegedly pointed a gun at the other driver before leaving the area.

Police located Johnson and cited him with misdemeanor exhibition of a weapon. They found a .380 handgun in his possession and another 9 mm gun secured in the car.
