New LDS prophet and Church leadership to be announced Tuesday

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from around the world are invited to participate in a live message from President Russell M. Nelson Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. This message will be shared on all Church broadcast, internet and social media channels in 29 languages.

President Nelson’s message will be followed by a press conference at 10:00 a.m. MST.

The press conference comes after The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles met and unanimously sustained the new prophet and leadership of the Church following the recent death of President Thomas S. Monson.

President Monson was called to serve as the prophet of the LDS Church Feb. 3, 2008. He passed away Jan. 2, 2018, at the age of 90.
