50-year-old female found dead from apparent gunshot wound

UPDATE 1/15/18: The Cody Police Department reports the woman found deceased at Green Acres Mobile Home Park, 2821 Rocky RD #27 has been identified as Michelle Dawn Barber who was residing at that location.

An autopsy confirmed she died from a single gunshot to the head, and preliminary investigation indicates the gunshot was self-inflicted.

The Cody Police Department Investigations Division is continuing with the death investigation.

ORIGINAL 1/12/18: Cody Police Department officers found a 50-year-old female deceased from an apparent gunshot wound at the Green Acres Mobile Home Park, 2821 Rocky RD #27 around 2:52 p.m Thursday.
