13 finalists considered for Pocatello council seat

Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad says he will interview 13 finalists to fill a vacancy on the Pocatello City Council. Steve Brown stepped down last month to accept a position on the Bannock County Commission.

Blad identified the 13 finalists as:

Craig Cooper Maxwell Daniels Rebekah Gruel Rachael Levay Robert Croker Dale Spencer Thomas Dakota Bates David Bowen Daniel Parrish Ram Eddings David Villarreal Beenish Mannan Kirk Lepchenske

“I had a strong group of applicants to sort through and I am proud to see so many step forward and offer their service to the citizens of Pocatello,” said Blad.

The mayor will submit his final selection for confirmation to the City Council in February or early March.

The new council member will serve the remainder of Brown’s term which ends in January 2020.
