Two hurt when tow truck rolls into car

Two people were hurt when a tow truck rolled into the car it was working to remove.

Idaho State Police investigated the incident around 12:56 p.m. Tuesday. Officers were called to a stalled Dodge Charger driven by Kay Holmes, 81, of Pocatello. The car was stalled in the lane of travel.

Stan’s Towing was called to remove the car.

The tow truck was operated by Jonathan Jensen, 26, of Chubbuck. ISP said that when Jensen exited the tow truck it rolled back into the Charger.

Holmes and a Pocatello officer were standing by the driver-side door with the door open. The impact caused the car to strike both Holmes and the officer.

Holmes was taken to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment.
