Another above average Weekend ahead

A wet weather system is trying to work into the region. However, most of the heavy rain and snow will head straight for the mountains, with just a few scattered showers hitting the Snake River Plain. Warm temperatures are keeping snow levels high, around 5,000 feet tonight rising to 7,000 feet Friday night. 2 to 4 inches of snowfall in the eastern highlands and central mountains. Rain showers are expected in the Snake River Plain and Magic Valley. Temperatures look to rebound back well into the mid to upper 40’s for the weekend.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with lows in the mid to upper 20s.

Friday: A chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a high near 40°. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday: A slight chance of rain with highs into the lower 40’s.

Sunday: A 40% chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high into the upper 40’s.
