Beavers honor Coach Guilio in final home match

A high school wrestling team honored it’s honored it’s long-time coach tonight as he coached his final home match before retiring.

The American Falls Beavers celebrated the career of head coach Jim Giulio.

He has been in charge of the Beavers wrestling team for the past 22 years.

During that time he led American Falls to five state championships.

He has coached two of his sons as part of the program, one of them serving as his assistant coach.

He has been a staple in the Eastern Idaho wrestling community.

Giulio has a few weeks left before the wrestling season comes to a close and tells Sportsline he has loved his time at American Falls.

“What I’ll miss about coaching at American Falls, is the community,” says Giulio, “the tight knit community that American Falls is, it’s been everything that I wanted it to be.”
Giulio and the Beavers faced Marsh Valley Wednesday night.

The beavers lost 52-33.
