Cloudy with Valley Rain and Mtn Snow

A wet weather system is moving in, though most of the heavy rain and snow will head straight for the mountains, with just a few scattered showers hitting the Snake River Plain. Warm temperatures are keeping snow levels high, around 5,000 feet tonight rising to 7,000 feet Friday night. 2 to 4 inches of snowfall in the eastern highlands and central mountains. Rain showers are expected in the Snake River Plain and Magic Valley. Temperatures look to rebound back well into the mid to upper 40’s for the weekend.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with lows in the low 30s.

Saturday: A slight chance of rain with highs into the lower 40’s.
