Part of South Boulevard to close Feb. 5 to Feb. 9

Traffic on South Boulevard will be reduced to one lane, each direction, beginning Monday, Feb. 5 at 6:00 a.m.

The partial road closure between 8th Street and 12th Street is necessary for the installation of a water main across the two northbound lanes of South Boulevard.

Northbound traffic will be diverted to a single lane beginning at 12th Street. Southbound traffic will be diverted to a single lane beginning at 8th Street. Traffic controls will be in place to guide traffic.

Access will be maintained, but controlled to the Common Cents property. Access from 10th Street will be maintained; however, wait times may increase due to the reduction in traffic lanes on South Boulevard.

Officials do not plan on utility service interruptions, but if they become necessary, area property owners will be notified.

Construction is scheduled to be complete by 5:00 p.m. on Feb. 9.
